Year 1 and 5 planetarium visit
As part of the Irresitible Experiences at Ley Top Primary School, children in Year 1 and Year 5 enjoyed a visit from Pole Star Planetarium to celebrate the learning they have achieved this term in their classes. All done in 180-degree vison and surround sound! What an amazing experience!
Year 5 enjoyed a visit from a planetarium to embed their knowledge from their current science topic- Earth and Space.
We watched as we were transported to all the planets of the solar system- learning more interesting facts about them, we enjoyed a projection of the story of the Apollo 11 Moon landing mission and finally we learnt about the star constellations in our night sky.
.
Year 1 set foot on the moon with Neil Armstrong, watched the Mars rover land on its surface and explored Jupiter and its moons.
What the children said:
Asher "My favourite part was watching the robot landed on mars."
Oscar "My favourite part was watching the rocket go into space and landing on the moon."
Ivy "I loved all of it"
Milad 'This is the best thing I have ever done!'
