Classes

At Ley Top Primary School, we use our class names to develop a greater understanding of the world including its geography, cultures and differences. Each year group's class names are linked to a different continent meaning that in their 7 years at Ley Top Primary School children travel around the world!

Nursery and Early Years

In Nursey and Early Years, children start their journey around the world in the poles.

Nursey class is named Penguin Patrol whilst Reception Class are Polar Pioneers

Key Stage 1

In Year 1, children travel to Africa in either Nile Navigators or Serengetti Seekers.

In Year 2, children visit Europe joining either the Baltic Adventurers or the Alpine Achievers

Key Stage 2

In Year 3, children land in North America where they join the Maple Mountaineers or the Rocky Rangers.

Year 4 finds the children in South America continuing their journey as Amazon Guardians or Patagonian Pathfinders.

In Year 5, the destination is Asia where children will explore the continent as either Silk Road Scholars or Himalayan Heroes.

The final desination on their world tour find children in Year 6 visit Australasia as Coral Reef Explorers or Tiki Voyagers.
