Arrival at Breakfast Club
In order to safeguard children at Ley Top Primary School we work closely with parents to ensure a safe and controlled start to the school day for all children. For children who attend Breakfast Club there is a rolling entry to the school to enable parents to drop off at a time convenient to them. Some families also use the Breakfast Club on an infrequent basis. This means that we need clear processes to ensure all children are handed over to a member of the Ley Top Breakfast Club team in order to ensure no child is unaccounted for. Below are the expectations that enable this to happen successfully.
What Ley Top Breakfast Club team will do:
- Complete a daily register of attendance to safeguard children
- Ask parents to register child and sign them in on arrival
- Provide a safe and enjoyable environment which fosters friendships
What children will do:
- Follow the instructions given by adults and uphold the values of Ley Top Primary School at all times – Ready, Respectful and Responsible
- Be respectful of other users of Breakfast Club
What parents will do:
- Book a place at Breakfast Club on Arbor. This ensures we have the correct number of staff to provide effective safeguarding.
- Accompany children to the door and sign their child in to Breakfast Club between 7.45 and 8.15. Children must not be left at the gate
- Communicate any information to staff at drop off that will help their child thrive
Thank you for support.
