Success for road safety week
Pupils at Ley Top Primary School are helping to promote a safer community by joing forces with local police and traffic wardens. They were handing out warnings to all motorists parking where they should not do so or stopping outside the school on the yellow zig zags.
We hope this week has helped motorists understand the dangers that illegal stopping or parking outside schools can cause and promote a safer environment for our communities children.
Road Safety week
Monday the 8th May to Wednesday the 10th May we have local police and traffic officers attending the school both in the mornings and afternoons to help raise awareness for car users when picking up and dropping off their children.
This is to help us reduce the risk to children from parking in prohibited places and stopping in the road to let children out of their cars and also reduce congestion and frustrations for local residents.
There will be some of our pupils also helping the police but beware… if you break the law then you may get a ticket!!!
Please help us make our community safer by supporting our children during the visits. If you would like to know more about road safety then click on the links below.
